Hi, I'm David, the CEO and the person currently in charge of design at Drapr

I'm looking for our first Lead Product Designer because great design is key to our success and I am nowhere near good enough.

Before I describe the position, more about Drapr.

  1. We let shoppers try on clothing online. Here is a demo of our product.

  2. We sell to brands and integrate on their e-commerce stores.

  3. Our beta is live on 8 sites including on UNTUCKit's - a brand that does $100m+ in annual revenue.

  4. We are backed by Y Combinator and have just raised our seed round.

  5. We are experienced entrepreneurs having previously built a 3D scanning company.

  6. The opportunity is huge. Everyone will shop as themselves online in the future. The current way we shop for clothing is horribly broken and wasteful.

  7. We are a remote team with 5 of us in San Francisco/Bay Area, 1 in New York and 1 in Italy.

And now what you need to know about this role:

  1. Design is core to our business and critical to our success.

  2. Your role: Lead Product Designer, Generalist

You will be doing everything start to finish related to our core product offering. This includes: conducting user research, crafting solutions, creating low and high fidelity prototypes and conducting usability testing. While this is a lot to ask, you will be a part of a team ready to help at every step.

  3. Meet your new product team. We'll be collaborating daily.

As head of product I am responsible for product direction but will also be in on all user/usability testing and solution brainstorming.  I'm also fairly competent in Photoshop so I can assist in visual mockups where I'll follow your lead.

    See description above.

Daniel, our CTO, will determine the technical feasibility of our ideas and implement the core logic. He'll also be actively involved in all solution brainstorming.

Domenico is our Lead Front End Developer and will implement your designs. As an expert in 3D web he'll help you determine what is and isn't possible vis-a-vis 3D web experiences.

  4. Our product today is primarily a 3D experience so experience creating low/high fidelity 3D experience prototypes is important.

  5. Today you are an individual contributor but if your ambitions are to lead a design organization and you're capable of transitioning to a leadership role, this team is yours to grow.
